Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, embraces its history and reflects on Black History Month. During the mid to late ‘40s, the base publication “Sword and Key” (Feb. 1943 edition presented) would run a separate section in their magazine for their "colored personnel" (a term used during this time-period to describe any person who was not white) revealing that Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, dealt with the same cultural issues of the time.
