Excess property recipient World Help received 7,000 pairs of excess military boots through the DLA Disposition Services site in Richmond, Virginia. The organization distributed most of the pairs throughout Guatemala, where many farmers and trade workers have no means to access adequate footwear for the working conditions they face. The organization said it paired the boot donation with hats for sun protection donated by a non-government source.
