Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Change of Command
Outgoing Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry renders a salute as she arrives in the auditorium at the beginning of the DLA Land and Maritime Change of Command and Retirement ceremony July 22. She is saluted by her Sideboys on either side of the aisle. Fabry is retiring this month after 31 years of service in the Navy. A sideboy is a member of an even-numbered group of seamen posted in two rows at the quarterdeck when a visiting dignitary boards or leaves the ship, historically to help him aboard, in a ceremony known as tending the Side.
