On January 7, 2018, Ms. Janice Samuel became the Director of DLA's EEO and Diversity office. In this position, she provides leadership and acts for the DLA Director on oversight, plans, programs, policy formulation, compliance, decisions, and practices pertaining to EEO, and Diversity.
Ms. Samuel has had the opportunity to work in several positions within the federal sector which has embodied her with a vast amount of knowledge and skills in many fields, primarily Human Resource Management, Finance and Accounting. She began her EEO career in DLA Aviation in 2000 as an EEO Administrative Assistant and has remained in EEO to the present.
Ms. Samuel has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Averett University and certificate in counseling, certified mediator. She has received numerous awards, including the Superior Civilian Service Award.
