Ms. Emily L. Vogeler

Executive Director, Logistics Policy and Strategic Programs, DLA Logistics Operations

Emily Vogeler is the Executive Director, J34, Logistics Policy and Strategic Programs in the Logistics Operations (J3) organization at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in Fort Belvoir, VA.  DLA is a combat logistics support agency within the United States Department of Defense. DLA manages the global supply chain- from raw materials to end user to disposition for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, 10 combatant commands, other federal agencies, and partner and allied nations. As Acting Director, Ms. Vogeler leads a number of the core DLA business processes to include Order Fulfillment, Retail, Planning, Technical Quality, Inventory Management, Disposal, and Cataloging. Ms. Vogeler also has Audit Integration and Process Integration within the division.

Before being appointed to her current position, Ms. Vogeler was the J34 Deputy Director. Prior to that, she was the J3 Chief Strategy Officer and was responsible for managing the long-term strategy for DLA business processes. She has worked in various DLA positions to include the Planning and Alignment Chief, Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS) Portfolio program manager, the Integrated Data Environment and Global Transportation Network Convergence (IGC) business manager, lead data quality analyst, and a DLA/Air Force cataloger. Ms. Vogeler received a bachelor’s degree in communication with a specialization in public relations in 2004 from Michigan State University.  She was granted a master’s degree in communication from Michigan State University in 2007.
