Employee lifts voice, integrates Deaf culture into latest CPI project

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Teresa Brunotte, a Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime material planner and deaf employee, is leading the change in DLA Deaf culture. She recently led a Continuous Process Improvement project aimed to improve the ASL Interpreter Request System.

Lean Six Sigma training boosts problem-solving skills

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Thirty Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime employees gained valuable continuous process improvement skills during a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course held at Defense Supply Center Columbus, Feb. 27 – March 3.

Maximo Ayala, the lead instructor and chief, Lean Six Sigma training and project management support branch at DLA Troop Support, conducts Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training Oct. 18 in Philadelphia. Students gain analytical skills during the 40-hour course, which they must pass and then complete a continuous process improvement project to earn their Green Belt certification.
