Sasebo detachment employees assist local community in cleanup efforts

SASEBO, Japan — Logistics Agency Distribution Yokosuka, Japan’s, Sasebo detachment assisted the Tawaraga-Uro Cho community in cleanup and maintenance efforts in the area.

Yokosuka distribution center holds annual Forklift Rodeo and Safety Rally

YOKOSUKA, Japan — Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Yokosuka, Japan, hosted their 11th annual Forklift Rodeo and Safety Rally on Nov. 10. Eight teams consisting of 37 participants competed in five events designed to test their safe forklift operating skills.

US, Japan forces work together during Keen Sword

YOKOTA AIR BASE, Japan (AFNS) — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Air Force website — Members from the Japan Self-Defense Forces and U.S. Forces, Japan, came together for Keen Sword 2017 at Yokota Air Base from Oct. 30 – Nov. 11. KS17 involved U.S. forces and the JSDF from all components of both militaries, training to conduct bilateral operations in support of the defense of Japan.

Yokosuka distribution center welcomes new commander

YOKOSUKA, Japan — Navy Cmdr. Nolasco Villanueva assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Yokosuka, Japan, in a ceremony on October 14. The ceremony was officiated by DLA Distribution commanding general Army Brig. Gen. John Laskodi.

Outgoing DLA Distribution Yokosuka, Japan, commander Navy Cmdr. Brian Johnson has received the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his achievements in leading the distribution center from June 2014 to October 2016.

Distribution’s Ballesteros one of DLA’s first recognized by Navy advancement program

Old furniture gets new life as training aids for live fire training
