DLA Pacific moves bulk of Korea staff to expanded site at Camp Humphreys

The DLA Pacific Command has taken a major step in Korea by officially moving and consolidating its main body of personnel on the peninsula to an expanded Camp Humphreys location.

Korea commander tours local tech facility, focus on CPI

CAMP CARROLL, South Korea — DLA Distribution Korea’s Lean Six Sigma Black belts, Green belts, and Quality Assurance Team members visited Taegu Tec to tour their facility on Nov. 29.

DLA director visits Pacific region to recognize employees, engage leaders

Defense Logistics Agency Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams visited DLA installations throughout the Pacific Aug. 14-17 as part of his command familiarization tour, meeting employees and engaging with senior leaders from the agency and its customers.

Continuous Process Improvement and Safety at DLA Distribution Korea

CAMP CARROLL, Korea — Combining Quality Assurance inspections with Continuous Process Improvement enables DLA Distribution Korea to transform how business is conducted on a day-to-day basis. These programs allow for improvement of operations while staying true to the requirements of Audit Readiness and meeting the needs of the warfigher and material owners.

DLA Distribution Korea recently launched their innovated new warehouse quality program called UCARE. The program assigns responsibility for aisles to specific workers called aisle managers. The photo above depicts two aisle managers, Hyong Hun An and Hyon U Yi.

CAMP CARROLL, Korea — UCARE is an innovative new warehouse quality initiative recently launched at DLA Distribution Korea. Initially met with some skepticism, the program has quickly gained praise from warehouse workers and supervisors alike.

Navy Reservists team up with DLA Distribution Korea

CAMP CARROLL, Korea — As part of their annual training, a group of United States Navy Reservists joined forces for the first time with United States Army soldiers, civilians and Korean nationals to work together as a team for the Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Korea. With the help of the reservists, the team processed nearly 2,000 lines this past November.

Korea distribution center welcomes new commander

CAMP CARROL, Korea — Army Maj. Gary D. Whittacre assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Korea in a ceremony June 16. The ceremony was officiated by DLA Distribution’s Army Reserve Element team leader and Joint Reserve Task Force commander Army Col. Ronnie M. Davis.

Army Lt. Col. Mark Wolf has been awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for his achievements while serving as commander of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Korea.
