AFIMSC partners with DLA to fuel the Air Force fight

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center website — The Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center is leading an $840 million effort to repair and replace fuel infrastructure at 83 Department of the Air Force installations.  Managed by the Air Force Civil Engineer Center, the program is executing more than 200 fuel design and construction contracts that aim to preserve and modernize fuel assets.

319th CES upgrades 20-year base hydrant fuels system infrastructure

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Grand Forks Air Force Base website — The 319th Civil Engineer Squadron began a base hydrant fuels system replacement in July 2023, on Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota. The hydrant fuel system was initially constructed in 1959, with minor repairs until 2003 when it was replaced with aluminum.

Members of the U.S. Joint Forces Conduct Modular Fuel Tank Systems Training

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Marine Corps Forces Pacific website — U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, and Headquarters Marine Corps provided technical training to U.S. Marines, Airmen, Soldiers, and Sailors on prototype modular semi-permanent fuel tank systems in South Bend, Indiana, April 11 to 21, 2023. The training establishes a foundation for advanced emplacement of semi-permanent bulk fuel and water storage capacity across the Indo-Pacific area of operations. The training was funded through the Marine Corps Expeditionary Energy Office.

144th FW continues fuel storage construction project

This $20 million project will remove the underground fuel storage system and replace them with above-ground storage containers.
