Employees, commander surprise supervisors with leadership award

PHILADELPHIA — Several supervisors at DLA Troop Support were pleasantly caught off guard by the actions of their employees. They earned positive leadership awards after being nominated by their employees: Dr. Greg Gsell, Business Process Support Randall Owens, Medical supply chain; and Mary Martin, Medical.

Are you ready? Take part in America’s PrepareAthon!

PHILADEPHIA — In the spirit of resiliency, DLA Troop Support is encouraging employees to take part in America's PrepareAthon! The FEMA campaign is a grassroots movement for action to increase community preparedness and resilience.

Local logisticians went to school Sept. 21 on a tool to help them track where their stuff is. The training included how to run queries for materials in transit to customers around the world through the Integrated Data Environment/Global Transition Network Convergence program.

Troop Support’s ‘dream team’ saves big on drugs

PHILADELPHIA — The Medical supply chain's national contracts team has churned out hundreds of millions of dollars in savings through long-term contracts for generic drugs, while ensuring drug availability for customers.

PHILADELPHIA — Nothing meant more in captivity than seeing the American flag, a former prisoner of war said about his experience during a POW/MIA Remembrance Ceremony Sept.15 at NSA Philadelphia.

Three employees shared their stories of strength during life challenges in videos shown during DLA Troop Support's Resiliency Day event Sept. 15. The event highlighted the agency’s Resiliency program, which aims to help employees improve their ability to function in the face of adversity.

Employees share stories of strength during Resiliency Day

PHILADELPHIA — Beating cancer, overcoming a fire, getting fit. Three employees shared their stories of strength in the face of adversity with coworkers during DLA Troop Support’s Resiliency Day.

Students enjoy fresh produce provided through the Department of Defense Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. The program allows schools to order fresh produce from DLA Troop Support’s Subsistence supply chain using U.S. Department of Agriculture entitlement funds.

As school year begins, Subsistence continues produce support for students

Philadelphia — As another school year starts, DLA Troop Support is set to provide fresh produce for students at approximately 12,000 schools throughout the U.S. In a partnership with the USDA, Subsistence provides produce to schools in 48 states.

PHILADELPHIA — An actress portraying Civil Rights heroine Rosa Parks described voting as an integral part of being an American citizen during a Women’s Equality Day event Aug. 24 at Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support.
