Troop Support workforce encouraged to wear teal on Tuesdays in July

DLA Troop Support — The DLA Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program is launching an awareness and prevention campaign featuring events that would have been held during SAAPM, with a theme and hashtag of “Not Just April.” The events, which employees can participate in whether they are in the office or teleworking, start this month with Teal Tuesdays.

HDIFC promotes Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Awareness is critical because knowing about this issue means that if it happened to someone, they would know where to go for help. Many survivors don’t know who they can talk to about their assault, where to turn or even identify that it was an assault. They may feel alone, confused, scared or embarrassed. For survivors and their support people, knowing where to turn to in a crisis is a step that can impact the rest of their journey.

Awareness walk culminates Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month

PHILADELPHIA — Clad in teal shirts emblazoned with the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention logo, more than 200 Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support and fellow Naval Support Activity Philadelphia tenant employees walked a mile in support of SAAP month April 23 in Philadelphia. The “wave of teal,” as NSA-P’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program manager Navy Chief Petty Officer Felipe Vazquez called it, moved across the installation in a display of support for victims and dedication to the eradication of sexual assault, culminating a month of activities with the same SAPR focus.
