DLA Aviation lends one of its own to national COVID-19 response

RICHMOND, Va. — A Defense Logistics Agency contracting officer with firsthand experience responding to a crisis is helping the agency’s Rapid Deployment Blue Team support U.S. Army North medical and logistics units responding to COVID-19.

RICHMOND, Va. — Three Defense Logistics Agency Rapid Deployment Teams stand ready to help military and federal agencies supporting global emergencies like humanitarian assistance and pandemic response. Rapid deployment team members ready to support operations in 2020

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency’s Rapid Deployment Teams support federal agencies during exercises and real-world scenarios including humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. In November and December 2019, the teams of subject matter experts from across the enterprise trained for 2020 operations.

621st CRW teams up with joint partners in 'Southeast Asia' for exercise

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center website — Nearly 1.6 million people are still trying to get their bearing after a 7.2-magnitude earthquake ravaged Southeast Asia. After a request for assistance from South Torbia, U.S. Transportation Command calls upon its premier response forces: 621st Contingency Response Wing, 689th Rapid Port Opening Element and the Defense Logistics Agency’s Rapid Deployment Team-Blue. This was the exercise scenario for Turbo Distribution 19-03, held July 18-24, 2019, at Contingency Operating Base Panther in North Vernon, Indiana.

Marines with the 7th Engineer Support Battalion, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force 7, walk along the California-Mexico border at the Andrade Point of Entry in Winterhaven, California. U.S. Northern Command provided support to the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Customs and Border Protection to secure the southwest border of the United States.
