SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the U.S. Army Central website — The Army is continually improving energy resilience and observes Energy Action Month every October to highlight various energy-related projects that secure reliable access to energy, water, and land resources that enable mission readiness. U.S. Army Central's Operational Energy Program focuses on the energy required to train, move and sustain Soldiers and weapon platforms for military operations.

October is Energy Awareness Month. An Energy Month Fair will be held on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, Oct. 19, 2016 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Center Restaurant to provide employees information about energy conservation and efficiency.

Everyone has a role in conserving energy

RICHMOND, Virginia — October is National Energy Action Month. The Department of Energy has published a list of actions individuals can take in their workplaces to conserve energy and help achieve a healthier environment. Many of the items are simple and common sense actions that can have a big impact over time.
