San Joaquin’s Foster selected for the 2020 Blacks in Government Military Meritorious Service Award

Supervisory Management and Program Analyst Pearl Foster of Defense Logistics Agency San Joaquin, California, was awarded the 2020 Blacks in Government Military Meritorious Service award. Foster is currently serving as the Resource Management Group chief managing over 107 employees in the distribution center’s most diverse group with missions that impact day-to-day operations across the entire center.

Distribution employee participates in 40th Annual BIG Conference

Tish Thompson, supply specialist with DLA Distribution’s Further Operations directorate and member of the DLA Distribution Headquarters Multicultural team, recently attended the Blacks in Government 40th Annual National Training Institute held in New Orleans, Louisiana. The theme this year’s event was “Leveraging Your Professional Attributes for Sustained Growth and Development”.

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Bellwood Chapter of Blacks in Government conducted a Juneteenth Observance ceremony on June 23, at the African-American gravesite on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia.
