Repair, Replace, Repeat: III Marine Expeditionary Force Marines Salvage Repairable Gear

DLA Aerospace Energy supports NASA rocket launch

CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION, Florida — Defense Logistics Agency Aerospace Energy supported NASA’s first U.S. mission to sample an asteroid with a launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida, Sep. 8.

DLA Aviation poised for process excellence

Richmond, Va. — Sixty key leaders and subject matter experts throughout Defense Logistics Agency Aviation and DLA Headquarters Strategic Plans and Policy attended the first-ever Senior Process Excellence Course at the Lotts Conference Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, Sept. 8 - 9.

Agency welcomes seven new honorees into Hall of Fame

FORT BELVOIR, Virginia — The Defense Logistics Agency inducted seven honorees into its Hall of Fame in a Sept. 20, 2016, ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, attended by current and former senior leaders from throughout the agency and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, as well as the families of the honorees.

U.S. Marine Cpl. Ernesto VegaHernandez conducts a joint limited technical inspection of a recently refurbished Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, and the lighter version--MATV or MRAP All-Terrain Vehicle. The Kendall, Fla. native was a part of a select group of mechanics and communications maintainers with Combat Logistics Battalion 5, Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force – Crisis Response – Central Command tasked with ensuring the vehicles were ready to be shipped to Iraq, where Marines are supporting Iraqi Security Forces in the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. SPMAGTF – CR – CC is a self-sustaining expeditionary unit, designed to provide a broad range of crisis response capabilities throughout the Central Command area of responsibility, using organic aviation, logistical, and ground combat assets. DLA associates run to fight cancer

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A group of current and former Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime associates completed a charity relay run crossing half of Ohio to raise funds for cancer research.The run began at Genoa Park in downtown Columbus on the evening of Aug. 26 and continued throughout the night, finishing nearly 24-hours later at Friendship Park in Cincinnati.
