Marine Corps explores graywater capability to reduce logistical footprint

Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Marines website — When it comes to Marines and their equipment, the Marine Corps is focused on the concepts of smaller, faster, lighter and modular. The Fuel and Water Systems Team at Marine Corps Systems Command put this focus into action in the spring when it explored graywater recycling aboard Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, with Marines from Combat Logistics Regiment 25.

DDSP’s Active Shooter Exercise tests installation fire department and police force, and community county crisis response teams

As soon as you step into the empty section of Building 54 on the Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna, Pennsylvania installation, an eerie calm awaits you. This part of the building hasn’t been used since the occupants moved out in early May. There are empty offices and cubicles, and some of the left-behind furniture and equipment is in disarray – haphazardly laying here and there. The air inside is stagnant, very warm, and very humid.

DLA Troop Support Clothing and Textiles embroiders see the only 49-star presidential flag made during a visit from presidential flag collectors in late June in Philadelphia. DLA embroiders are the sole authorized producers of the current 50-star presidential and vice presidential flags.

Hill Airmen conduct joint cargo exercise
