Fort Belvoir, Virginia — Twice a year DLA hosts the Cost Summit, a forum that allows senior logisticians and budget officials to maintain transparency by sharing information on cost-related topics.

New civilian retirees celebrated by DLA Troop Support

Philadelphia — The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support said goodbye to two civilian employees during a retirement ceremony January 30 in Philadelphia. Florence Hall, from the Construction and Equipment supply chain, retired after 50 years of federal service. Nick Sistrun from Command Support retired after working for 35 years with the federal government.

February is Black History Month and this year’s Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute theme is “Honoring the Past, Securing the Future.” Throughout the month, we will spotlight DLA Energy employees who are honoring their history and making a difference through their accomplishments both in their workplace and community.

Forward Area Refueling Point team members held their biannual tryouts for 18th Logistics Readiness Squadron Airmen at their fuels compound January seventeenth, twenty twenty. Airmen of the eighteenth LRS petroleum, oil and lubricant flight bear the responsibility of refueling aircraft for hundreds of sorties at Kadena Air Base, and Forward Area Refueling Point assists with Air Force Special Operations refueling around the world.
