Hurlburt Field Spill Prevention and Response Exercise

DLA chemist leading efforts in alternative fuel, other DOD bulk fuel initiatives

FORT BELVOLIR, Va. — Lindsey Hicks has served the Defense Logistics Agency as a pioneering chemist for over 30 years. He is currently the program manager leading DLA Research & Development’s Energy Readiness Program supporting the Defense Department’s bulk fuel and energy supply system. ERP’s strategic focus areas are fuel refining and distribution, fuel instability and contamination issues, and alternative fuel certification efforts.

FORT BELVOIR, Va. — Honoring African Americans both past and present, DLA Energy celebrated their accomplishments in a virtual Black History Celebration Feb. 15. Nearly 300 employees from across the entire agency participated in the discussion and listened to keynote speaker and honored guest, Army Maj. Gen. Charles Hamilton.
