In each case, Paul Zebrowski answered the call and will be recognized for his accomplishments with a place in the DLA Hall of Fame Sept. 20.

Operations personnel use new partnership to protect supply chains, prevent counterfeits

Fort Belovoir, Virginia — For more than a decade, an increase in counterfeit and suspected counterfeit spare parts has challenged Defense Logistics Agency’s quality-control and technical personnel. But DLA’s recent partnership with the National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center has improved DLA’s detection methods and increased the range of parts DLA can test for authenticity.

Retired Vice Adm. Al Thompson led DLA Land and Maritime just after 9/11 and took the helm of DLA in 2008.

Director who led DLA support for Iraq surge to join Hall of Fame

Retired Navy Vice Adm. Al Thompson, who led DLA as director at a time when a surge in deployed personnel demanded a surge in critical equipment from DLA — and then led the agency through declining defense budgets — will join the Hall of Fame Sept. 20.

Paula Kluczynski developed and managed DLA's New Supervisor Certificate Program, which has helped transform employees into leaders for more than 12 years—earning her a place in the DLA Hall of Fame.

Kluczynski, developer of leaders, to join DLA Hall of Fame

A program that helps transform Defense Logistics Agency employees into leaders is a legacy that earned Paula Kluczynski a posthumous place in the DLA Hall of Fame Sept. 20.

The 2016 Hispanic Heritage Month theme, “Embracing, Enriching, and Enabling America” was submitted by Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employee, Maurice Sanabria, chief, Command Programs Office in the Command Support Directorate in Richmond, Virginia. This is the second national theme win for Sanabria. His theme was also selected in 2012. Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15 by presidential proclamation.

Aviation employee's theme chosen for 2016 Hispanic Heritage Month

Richmond, Virginia — The 2016 Hispanic Heritage Month theme, “Embracing, Enriching, and Enabling America” was submitted by Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employee, Maurice Sanabria, chief, Command Programs Office in the Command Support Directorate in Richmond, Virginia. This is the second national theme win for Sanabria. His theme was also selected in 2012.

Kent 'Rocky' Galbraith spent 38 years with DLA, beginning as a warehouse worker and ultimately leading the design, development and deployment of the billion-dollar Distribution Standard System, still critical to DLA operations.

Galbraith, force behind critical distribution system, joins DLA Hall of Fame

One of the 2016 inductees into the DLA Hall of Fame, Kent “Rocky” Galbraith, spent 38 years with DLA, beginning as a warehouse worker at Defense Depot Ogden Utah in 1966.

In 1984, David Ennis was voted one of 10 Outstanding DLA Personnel; in 2016 he is one of seven inductees into the DLA Hall of Fame.

Ennis, past deputy, DLA Distribution San Joaquin, three-term mayor, named for Hall of Fame

In 1984, David Ennis was voted one of 10 Outstanding DLA Personnel; in 2016 he is one of seven honorees to join the DLA Hall of Fame Sept. 20.

Krissie Davis, a civilian DLA employee, volunteered for service in Afghanistan and was killed at age 54 by an enemy rocket in June 2015.

Property disposal specialist killed in Bagram to be inducted into DLA Hall of Fame

Krissie Davis, a civilian DLA employee killed while on her second volunteer deployment in June 2015, will be inducted into the DLA Hall of Fame Sept. 20.

Army, DLA senior leaders discuss ways to improve readiness via close work on metrics, other areas

Senior leaders from the Army and the Defense Logistics Agency discussed how they can better track and project shortages in military equipment and more fully adopt a common system for monitoring disposal of excess or worn-out equipment at the annual Army/DLA Day at the Pentagon Sept. 8.

Celia Adolphi, former deputy director of DLA’s Joint Reserve Force, is one of seven new DLA Hall of Fame honorees for 2016.
