For more than a decade, an increase in counterfeit and suspected counterfeit spare parts has challenged Defense Logistics Agency’s quality-control and technical personnel. But DLA’s recent partnership with the National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center has improved DLA’s detection methods and increased the range of parts DLA can test for authenticity.

Aviation employee's theme chosen for 2016 Hispanic Heritage Month

The 2016 Hispanic Heritage Month theme, “Embracing, Enriching, and Enabling America” was submitted by Defense Logistics Agency Aviation employee, Maurice Sanabria, chief, Command Programs Office in the Command Support Directorate in Richmond, Virginia. This is the second national theme win for Sanabria. His theme was also selected in 2012.

Galbraith, force behind critical distribution system, joins DLA Hall of Fame

One of the 2016 inductees into the DLA Hall of Fame, Kent “Rocky” Galbraith, spent 38 years with DLA, beginning as a warehouse worker at Defense Depot Ogden Utah in 1966.
