COLUMBUS, Ohio –
When the call came out from command to wear your ugly Christmas sweater, the People and Culture Directorate took it and ran with it. The inaugural P&C Ugly Sweater Contest was born.
This was a great way to show support for the Combined Federal Campaign by raising awareness. Nine P&C employees sported their ugliest garments, ranging from socks to sweaters and even underwear! Contestants strolled down the “red carpet runway” on the 2nd floor in pod A Dec. 6, 2017.
By unanimous vote, Jim Henkle won. He took the challenge seriously, sporting Christmas underwear (over pants), suspenders and a tie. For his courage, Jim won an extra-large chocolate candy bar and the revolving “Ugliest Sweater Plaque.”
This was a great way to raise awareness for the CFC. Employees are already scouring stores for next year’s ugliest Christmas sweater!
