DLA J6 Good Information/Training May 7-11, 2018

By Kari Riskedahl DLA Land and Maritime People and Culture

Information Operations, J6, will host “General Session” training on a variety of Defense Logistics Agency information technology topics in Columbus May 7-11. Classes will be in Building 20, room C338N, from 9 – 11 a.m. and 1 – 3 p.m. Each class will be the same (one can come to just one class to get the information).

Topics will include: VDI tips and tricks, how to perform software patching at your convenience, how to sign Adobe documents, J6 equipment for telework vs in the office, milConnect, communication and collaboration tools, where to find J6 help and how to help yourself.

J6 is gearing this class to associates that are still struggling to understand the VDI environment (difference between Win10 and VDI screens), folks who are frequently disrupted from software patching (how to patch at a time convenient for them) and folks that don’t know how to access J6 help in a variety of ways (EHD, SPOE, etc.). We are not targeting the tech savvy associate that everyone goes to when they are having a problem! This training will not be application specific (not related to EBS, eProcurement or JDA). Supervisors have a good idea of who could benefit from this two-hour engagement. Please help get these team members in this valuable training!

This class is tailored to include ample time for Q&A. We want it to be more open engagement and want to help associates understand how to better use their IT resources at DLA.
