Picnic in the Park with People and Culture

By Raymond Bibb DLA Land and Maritime People and Culture

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s People and Culture Directorate spent their summer picnic July 11 getting to know each other and taking in beautiful scenery at the Barrel and Boar restaurant in Gahanna.

The event started with a lively game of two truths and one lie. Each member gave two truths about themselves and one lie. The rest of the members had to guess which item was the lie. Dan Hayden was the winner by having the least amount wrong, with just four. Some interesting information about members included “I had actor Josh Duhamel sing happy birthday to my wife for her 40th birthday”, “I once made fire in a Masai village in Kenya by rubbing sticks together”, and “I drove in reverse on a highway for three miles in extremely dense visibility (less than 10 feet) as well as many others.”

After enjoying the great barbeque food from Boar and Barrel, the group participated in The Kindness Rocks Project.  They were given rocks to design or write an inspirational message on and then the group hid their rocks in the park for others to find.

All had a great time.
