Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna’s Roller named DLA Emergency Communication Center Dispatcher of the Year

By DLA Distribution Public Affairs

Kristine R. Roller was recognized as the DLA Emergency Communication Center Operator of the Year during DLA’s 51st Annual Employee Recognition Awards Program awards ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex on Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Dec. 13.

DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams presided over the ceremony and presented individual and team awards, recognizing their exceptional service during the 2018 calendar year.

Roller’s leadership ensured the dispatch team properly classified, dispatched and documented over 1,000 fire, police, and medical emergency responses. She provided vital leadership for ECC operations in the absence of her dispatch supervisor during disruptions to multiple communications platforms. She volunteered for 200 hours of overtime, ensuring maximum support for installation resources, personnel, and the local community.  Roller is a true professional whose expertise, positive attitude and outstanding work ethic have earned her great respect from peers, supervisors and leadership alike.

A consummate team player, Roller volunteered and completed 200 hours of overtime critical to ensuring maximum support for installation resources, personnel and the local community, building standardized training folders for each ECC Dispatcher—catalogued documentation and updated the process to track required continuing education credits for Emergency Medical Dispatching certification.
