DSCC takes a walk on the wildlife side

By Dana Thornbury DLA Land and Maritime Public Affairs

At the Defense Supply Center Columbus, there are several spots associates can enjoy being outdoors and experiencing nature.

Mission Park and Hope Garden are great places to take a stroll at lunch.

Near the tennis courts there’s a cozy nature prairie that associates may see various pollinators throughout the spring, summer and autumn.

Not to mention walking the installation, in general, offers many opportunities to catch a glimpse of wildlife and observe the beauty of nature.

DSCC became a Tree City in 2018 and planted more than 100 trees around the site. As the years go by, associates can enjoy observing the trees mature.

Celebrating nature, wildlife and trees, DSCC is sharing some of its favorite photos captured around the installation for Nature Photography Day, June 15.
