Army medical logistics leaders visit Troop Support

By Shaun Eagan DLA Troop Support Public Affairs

The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support hosted the Army Medical Logistics Command's commander, Col. Michael Lalor, and other senior leaders to educate the command on its warfighter support mission Jan. 7 in Philadelphia.

Brig. Gen. Gavin Lawrence, DLA Troop Support commander, and supply chain leaders met with the AMLC leaders to raise awareness about the organization’s mission and support to the military services. The visit also included an in-depth discussion with the Medical supply chain leadership to discuss its medical logistics support to the command.

AMLC, located at Fort Detrick, Maryland, is a new subordinate command of Army Materiel Command that established in June 2019. The command serves as the Army’s primary medical logistics and sustainment command, and is responsible for projecting and sustaining medical materiel capabilities and data to build and enable readiness for Army and Joint Forces, according to its website.
