CAMP HUMPHREYS, Korea –
Two Defense Logistics Agency Indo-Pacific employees recently received an award for their support to COVID-19 operations in South Korea.
Army Sgt. 1st Class Marcus McDonald, DLA Indo-Pacific, and Army Master Sgt. Amanda Hall, DLA Disposition Services, received the Joint Service Achievement Medal. The award cited them for their “unwavering leadership and selfless service as shift noncommissioned officers for the DLA Korea Synchronization Operations Center during COVID-19 Operations.”
McDonald and Hall served as the central synchronization point for all COVID-19 directives, orders and general information between DLA, U.S. Forces Korea, 8th Army and 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command.
DLA Indo-Pacific is the agency’s primary liaison to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, U.S. Forces Korea, U.S. Forces Japan and Alaska Command. DLA Indo-Pacific provides a unified DLA interface for warfighters throughout the USINDOPACOM area of responsibility, integrating DLA support within the region and reaching back to other DLA activities in the continental United States for logistics solutions.
