The Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services joins the nation in celebrating National African American / Black History month.

Started in 1926 by Carter Woodson as a week-long event to educate the public on the contributions of people of African descent to the nation has grown into a month long celebration honoring the accomplishments and achievements of the African American who have served and continue to serve the nation.

 

In a pre-recorded message, Al Hight, director, chief of diversity and equal employment office for DLA Disposition Services reflects on some of the challenges African Americans faced in the early years of our nation and guest speaker Randy Snow discusses famous Black athletes, Charles Follis and Jack Trice.
