Bond retires after 37 years

By DLA Indo-Pacific

Navy CAPT Jason Adams, Commander, Defense Logistics Agency Indo-Pacific, recognized Craig Bond, DLA Indo-Pacific Warfighter Support Representative for the Alaska Interior at Fairbanks Alaska, for his 37-plus years of distinguish government service, of which 11-plus years were with DLA.  The retirement ceremony took place via a virtual environment from Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii to Fort Wainright, Alaska on July 28, 2021.

Bond was applauded for integrating and building strong partnerships across the enterprise, while improving customer relations and enhancing overall warfighter readiness.  He was instrumental in delivering world-class logistics support to over 22,000 military personnel in Alaska who are charged with maintaining regional air sovereignty, deploying forces for worldwide contingencies, and providing support to federal and state authorities during civil emergencies.

Reflecting on his career, Bond stated “my success in Alaska could not have taken place without the direct support I received from my leadership, my DLA colleague Bob Sherrill, and supporting DLA staff along with the support from my wife.  I will surely miss everyone.”

Bond and his wife, Laura, departs Fairbanks, Alaska to settle in Montrose, Colorado.  His future plans are to do something different and to remain closer to his aging parents, while being more accessible to other family members.
