Workman retires after 32 years of total federal service

Army Col. Brian Donahue, Defense Logistics Agency Indo-Pacific military deputy commander, recognized Carl Workman, DLA IP Area IV warfighter support representative, for his 15-plus years of service to DLA Nov. 19 during a retirement ceremony at the DLA IP Korea facility Camp Humphreys, Korea.

Workman was presented with a Distinguished Career Service Award for his federal service as a DLA employee.  He first served as a sales representative contracting officer and as a disposition service representative for DLA Disposition Services and later with DLA IP as a warfighter support representative.

Workman was recognized as a logistics leader who significantly improved the Agency’s support around the world.  He was instrumental in providing comprehensive logistics support across DLA's lines of support sustaining the forward logistics Headquarters. “Carl, we thank you for your service to the warfighter and to our nation. You made a remarkable difference and leave behind a legacy,” Donahue said.  John O’Connor, Asiana Chief, added “Carl demonstrated sustained superior performance and a total dedication to duty.”

Workman and his wife, Sun, plan to resettle in Columbus, Indiana.
