Tell us about yourself.
I completed two tours in Iraq, where I worked with DLA as part of a Expeditionary Disposal Remediation Team. I began working for DLA as a civilian in 2012 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. From there, to Atlanta E-recycling in Austell, Georgia, as a site lead, and presently a site lead for DLA Disposition Services Rota in Spain.
How long have you worked for the federal government, including military service?
24 years. 5 years active duty, 9 years Reserve, and 10 years with DLA
Any good DLA memories?
Working alongside DLA personnel in Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
What aspect(s) of your current job gives you the most personal satisfaction and why?
Providing support to our troops and humanitarian efforts to those in crisis.
What is the best piece of advice someone has given you?
Trust but verify.
What kind(s) of training and education helps your work performance in your current role?
OJT, hands on and firsthand instruction by subject matter experts.
What would you say has been your major contributions to your organization this year in your job? Building a team/work family that represented commitment to excellence and dedication to our profession and the warfighter.
If you could speak directly to the warfighters you support, what would you tell them?
First and foremost, thank you for your service and I am proud to support all you do.
Where do you see yourself five years from now?
Retired and pursuing personal and businesses ventures.
Tell us something that most people might not know about you?
I’m super resilient, adaptable and have the ingenuity to make it work without all the tools available.
Fond memories of DLA work?
Best memories include the people I've met working here. The people that became, friends, mentors, and family.
What was your first job?
Security checker for a department store.
Who’s your biggest influence?
My parents.

What are some of your passions outside of work?
Travel, cooking and music.
What is your favorite quote?
I think, therefore I am.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
Doctor, lawyer, Indian chief. Seriously, EVERYTHING.
Any heroes?
My late son. A guardian and a Jedi.
If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be?
Be on a secluded tropical beach with family, friends, good food and drinks.
What’s the most thrilling/adventurous thing you have ever done?
Ziplining over a rainforest for the first time in Costa Rica.
