Tell us about yourself.

I am a very quiet person. My life revolves around my daughters. I am dedicated to work. I like to dress and eat well. I like beautiful cars, like BMWs, Ferraris, and Audis. I love F1 and cycling, and I have been a cyclist for 16 years. I consider myself to be a respectful, polite, and kind person.

Describe your job.

I receive property, assist customers with turn-ins, scrap removals, and I assist the sales contractor.

How long have you worked for the U.S. government?

21 years, all with DLA Disposition Services.

What aspect(s) of your current job gives you the most personal satisfaction and why? 

I am most satisfied with the fact that I work closely with all types of Americans, both military and civilian.

Best piece of advice someone has given you?

The best advice that my father gave me is to always be myself: an educated, responsible, respectful, and humble person.

Anything you’d like to tell warfighters directly?

I am an Italian citizen, but I admire the sacrifice of every American service member.

Where are you five years from now? 

In five years, I believe I will still be here at Disposition Services.

Something people may not know about you?

I was an excellent bike racer with many victories, but I had to stop competing.

Best DLA memories?

There are many. My first day working for DLA and continuing with many leaders in my past years of service.

First job?

I was a tourist bus driver.

Biggest influence?

My biggest influences are my daughters Giulia and Erika.

Favorite recent books you’ve read?

Enzo, the biography of Enzo Ferrari; and Gilles, a book on the enterprises of Gilles Villeneuve.

Any favorite quotes?

“Believe in God.”

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I would have liked to be a bicycle racer or a policeman.

Who is your hero? 

My hero has always been my great papa.

If you could choose to do anything for a day, what would it be? 

I would like to be able to hug my mom and dad. 

What’s the most thrilling/adventurous thing you have ever done?

Bicycling down hills at high speed.
