DSCC commander to honor fallen at Bexley Memorial Day event

DLA Land and Maritime Public Affairs

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Kristen Fabry will be the keynote speaker for the City of Bexley’s annual Memorial Day service May 30. Bexley is a neighboring community of the Defense Supply Center Columbus military installation. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. at Drexel Circle.

Other ceremony participants will include Bexley Mayor Ben Kessler and town officials.

Drexel Circle, at the intersection of Drexel Avenue and Broad Street, is home to the town’s World War II Memorial erected in 1945 and etched with the names of Bexley’s war veterans. Past observances have featured wreath-layings at the memorial, local musicians and the Bexley Police Honor Guard.

The ceremony is open to the public. Lawn chairs or blankets are encouraged for seating.
