Heather Royal, management analyst with human resources at DLA Distribution Warner Robins, Georgia, is focused on keeping the agency resilient and adaptable through seeking talent that can sustain support of the warfighter through future changes.
“I know as time goes on, I will need to make sure I stay abreast of the different changes that will occur within the organization,” said Royal. “I will need to continue to stay relevant, resilient and transparent. Be ready for whatever changes come my way.”
Royal has been working for DLA Distribution for seven years and worked in federal service for over 26 years.
Royal embodies through action and direction that the employees are the greatest asset to DLA Distribution. She uses consistent and effective communication to ensure employees are aware of any changes to benefits, updates on the hiring process or assistance in applying for new jobs.
“I have had the opportunity to do outside recruitment, helping to bring on veterans and civilians who were looking for employment,” said Royal.
Support of the employees translates to support of the warfighter as there will always be someone in need of the service Royal provides. “I want to be here for each employee,” said Royal. “They need to know that someone is there in their time of assistance and need.”
