By Matthew Mahoney DLA Distribution Public Affairs

Employees of the Defense Logistics Agency Susquehanna Morale, Welfare and Recreation Child and Youth Program conducted a large in person training event 7 Oct, 2022 at DLA Distribution Headquarters.

The Susquehanna CYP is an accredited program and child-care center located on the DLA Distribution Susquehanna installation. All CYP programs are designed to enrich the social, cognitive, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth and development of enrolled children.

“I love working here because of the impact I can make on the children. I feel I am given a variety of tasks and responsibilities that provide me the opportunity to learn and grow as an educator,” said Janelle Hill, CYS program assistant.

The focus of training was Kids Included Together, a long-time partnered training curriculum focused on inclusion. KIT training focuses in on how the care takes, considered the teachers of the children, are also still learners, learning the newest and best methods to ensure every child’s needs are met.

“I love working at CYP because I have the opportunity to be a fun and amazing teacher to children of the warfighter and the support staff of the warfighter,” said Tash Palmer, lead CYP, speaking to the overall mission of DLA “warfighter always”.
