NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania –
Margaret “Meg” Ross, supervisory contract specialist at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution headquarters’ Acquisition Operations, has been awarded the Distribution Employee of the Quarter award for fourth quarter, fiscal year 2015, for her superior performance and teamwork.
Ross serves as the contracting officer for the Depot Support-West team, executing the most critical and complex contracting actions in the division, most of which are valued in the multi-million dollar range. She is the primary contracting officer for distribution center contract awards, and ensures these critical acquisitions meet milestones and are awarded in a timely manner.
“Meg’s expert knowledge in Department of Defense source selection procedures is unsurpassed and ensures DLA Distribution’s contracting actions deliver quality, timely products and services to the warfighter and the nation at the best value for the taxpayer,” said Perry Knight, Chief Integration officer.
One of Ross’ highest priorities is the integrity and quality of the acquisition process and associated documentation. As evidenced by the Internal Contract Quality Review, Ross consistently awards high-quality, compliant contracting actions with a less than 1 percent error rate. For actions requiring DLA headquarters’ review, she receives constant praise for well documented, thorough analysis.
