Susquehanna’s Vaccaro selected for Commanders Mission Impact Award

By DLA Distribution Public Affairs

Angela Vaccaro, distribution process worker supervisor at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., was awarded the prestigious Commander’s Mission Impact – Individual Award for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2015.

Vaccaro was responsible for checking mixed stock locations and bringing unaccounted stock back to record in the North West Bulk area of Mechanicsburg, Pa.  All tasks were tackled in half the time allotted for completion while checking and rectifying over 800 frozen locations of mixed stock to ensure they were pick up ready with correct material.

Additionally, Vaccaro played a significant role in a video production of Audit Readiness orchestrated by headquarters personnel.  The attention to detail and dedication to mission will allow team members to benefit with the new video production.

“Ms. Vaccaro has distinguished herself by performing her duties in a manner which exceeds the standards set forth by DLA Susquehanna, Pa.  Ms. Vaccaro is a shining example of a total team player; she is mission oriented and always willing to take on additional responsibilities without question.  Ms. Vaccaro has a work ethic that is expressed by her actions and abilities,” explains T. Lacey, DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., distribution facilities specialist supervisor.  “This award is a direct reflection of her selfless dedication to our great organization, and to the men and women of the Armed Forces serving at home and abroad.”
