The DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Stock Readiness Team is the winner of the DLA Distribution Big Ideas Awards for the 2nd Quarter Fiscal Year 2017 in the Small Category. The 5-member team, which includes Alda Galera, Leonilo Fabro, Joseph Mendiola, Jerome Mcdaniel and David Woods, led DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor efforts in the divestiture of stagnant Navy-owned materiel, effectively returning nearly $180,000 to Navy stock. The team also responded to DLA’s Suspect Counterfeit Material tasker by completing almost 450 Safety of Flight special inspections in three days, eliminating the possibility of the issuance of counterfeit material two days ahead of the suspense.
