A contracting officer who works on two highly visible programs in the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support’s Industrial Hardware supply chain was named the Employee of the Month for December.
Thomas Smith manages the Acquisition Advice Code J program for non-stocked material, which has generated more than 1,270 delivery orders over two years.
He also serves as a contracting officer for a support program that maintains approximately 8,000 bench stock items at 20,000 bin locations at the Corpus Christi Army Depot.
According to his award citation, Smith is an invaluable member of his team, selflessly offers assistance when needed and approaches each new hurdle with a smile.
