COLUMBUS, Ohio –
Twenty-eight associates and four retirees joined in a round of golf sponsored by the Leadership Development Council, formally known as the Leadership Development Association, Aug. 24 at Eagle Eye Golf Course.
Players thought it was a beautiful day to be outside, enjoying a summer day, exercising and socializing with friends and co-workers.
The event kicked-off with tee shots on Hole #1 by the retiree’s team consisting of James McClaugherty, Ken Youn, Sam Merritt and Dave Szczublewski. The former leaders finished in fourth place with a respectable score of 67, 3 under par.
The scramble event’s champion team members were Matt Cowden, Carey Morris, Jerry Anderson and Bob Slitor with an impressive score of 57, 13 under par.
“I had the [driver] rolling off the tee and Bob was draining putts left and right…so fun to watch,” Cowden said after the event.
Overall, the players felt it was a wonderful way to start the weekend and a good time was had by all.
The weather was in the low 80’s and sunny with a breeze.
The staff at Eagle Eye Golf Course did an excellent job and provided a grilled lunch of burgers and dogs along with the fixings.
