DISA honors retirees with more than 600 years of combined federal service.

Communications Line of Business and EcoSystem Chief Robert Reed officiated the Defense Information Systems Agency-Columbus Retirement Ceremony Sept. 25 to celebrate 22 retiring employees.

The employees were from the Infrastructure Directorate, Services Directorate, and Development and Business Center.

Distinguished guests included Development and Business Center Civilian Deputy Katherine “KT” Lloyd, Defense Enterprise Computing Center Columbus Commander and retired Col. Douglas Beaty, and retired DECC Columbus Director Michael Roberson.

Participating employees included Boyd Bowling, Darryl Ball, Tanya Smith, Lisa Eckroate, Reva Lang, Sherri Schaaf, Brent Storm, Brenda Szczublewski, Charlene Nickell, John Bunger, Franklin “Lynny” Mitchell, Robert Maestle, Dwaine Mathews, Lorraine Weaver, Michael Hune, Randy Wilson, and William “Bill” Lichter.

The combined years of service for the 17 employees participating in the ceremony totaled more than 600 years.

Those unable to attend the ceremony were Sandra Rivers, Michael Profitt, Tamara Bennett-Rutland, Doreen White, and Walter “Tom” Franks.

Family, friends and co-workers attended the ceremony and offered their congratulations at the reception following. Attendees reminisced, bringing many tears, smiles and hugs.
