Media Advisory: Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime to induct four into 2019 Hall of Fame class

WHAT: 15th Annual DLA Land and Maritime Hall of Fame ceremony.
WHEN: Thursday, May 30, at 10 a.m.
WHERE: Defense Supply Center Columbus’ Operation Center Auditorium, 401 N. Yearling Road Columbus, Ohio 43218-3990

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Hall of Fame, was established in 2005 to honor and preserve the memory of past associates for their exceptional leadership, service, dedication to duty and contributions in supporting the DLA mission.

Members of the 2019 DLA Hall of Fame Class are:

  • Retired Army Col. Steve Bianco, former DLA Land Aberdeen Procurement Detachment deputy director, retired in 2017 from DLA Land and Maritime following 37 years of federal service as an Army officer and a member of the civil service.
  • Ms. Cathy Fisher-Farlin, former DLA Land and Maritime Order Fulfillment division chief, Business Process Support Directorate, retired from the Defense Supply Center Columbus in 2017 following 33 years of federal service.
  • Retired Army Col. Milton Lewis, former DLA Land and Maritime acquisition executive, retired in 2017, cumulating his 42-years of dedicated and decorated service to the Department of Defense.
  • Retired Air Force Col. James McClaugherty, former DLA Land and Maritime deputy director served 47 years in federal service; 30 as an Air Force officer and 17 as a civilian; 22 of those years were spent at DLA Land and Maritime where he retired in 2017.

RSVPs are required no later than 24 hours prior to the event due to enhanced security screening procedures and to expedite installation access on the day of the event. Plan to arrive at the Yearling Road Visitor’s Center no later than 45 minutes prior to the event.
