DLA Land and Maritime Academy focuses on Warfighter First

By Notasha Fant DLA Land and Maritime People and Culture

Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime Commander Navy Rear Adm. John Palmer opened the DLA Land and Maritime Academy by shaking hands with each attendee at the Oct. 22 event.  He reminded them of the importance of our mission - Warfighter First.  The academy serves to increase DLA Land and Maritime employees understanding of our mission and how it’s accomplished.

Briefings were presented throughout the day in an effort to inform new employees about each directorate’s leadership, mission, current projects, metrics and contact information.  The focal point of the briefings was how we support the warfighter and how we support you the employee.

Thirty-four employees attended this event and are well on their way in furthering our service to the warfighter.
