Federal Center festivities get children in the holiday spirit

Morale, Welfare, and Recreation hosted the Annual Children’s Holiday Party at the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center. Employees from the facility were encouraged to bring their kids to enjoy the festivities.

Children enjoy activities
Children at the annual Christmas party enjoyed the cake walk and bounce house. Additional activities includes caricature artists, professional face painting, bingo, inflatable archery, letters to those deployed, crafts and of course, Santa.

“This year we were able to provide a cake walk, caricature artist, professional face painting, a children’s museum, bingo station and other activities for the kids," said Nathalie Rider, the event's coordinator. "We couldn’t have asked for better circumstances between the increase in attendance, the weather, and the improved entertainment options we had this year."

Rider also said the event saw record high attendance with over 275 in attendance.

Battle Creek MWR hosts more than 50 programs each year for employees in varying topics including but not limited to Family Programs, Health and Fitness, Outdoor Recreations and Leisure Travel!
