Team Hill Frontlines: James Silverstrim

75th Air Base Wing Public Affairs

Editor's Note: The “Team Hill Frontlines" series is a recurring feature that puts the spotlight on some of the civilian and military Airmen on the "frontlines" supporting our mission, people and families during the COVID-19 crisis.

James Silverstrim works in Ogden Defense Logistics Agency as an inventory management specialist. He is from Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania, and his hobbies include golfing, shooting, and reading.

James’s experience working on the COVID-19 frontlines:

"The COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent transition to a virtual environment has significantly changed many aspects of my job. With cancellation of my weekly meetings with the shops I support and the shift to virtual meetings for my four monthly meetings with Air Force leadership requires a much greater emphasis on other means of communication. I find myself utilizing Skype and email much more during this time than previously. As the acting lead, this also includes maintaining open lines of communication with the other customer support specialists in our section and the schedulers for the shops we support. I’ve been able to perform our duties on the frontlines without any degradation in the quality of our service, but I look forward to returning to normal operations with face to face interaction with my customers.”

James, Team Hill thanks you for your service! We appreciate you!
