New video highlights rewards of being an ASOC LNO

By DLA Public Affairs

There’s no better place than the Agency Synchronization Operations Center for employees to get a big-picture view of the Defense Logistics Agency’s worldwide mission, according to a new video on major subordinate command employees serving four-month rotations on the ASOC team.

The liaison officers – one each from DLA Aviation, DLA Disposition Services, DLA Distribution, DLA Energy, DLA Land and Maritime, and DLA Troop Support – work at the agency’s Fort Belvoir, Virginia, Headquarters as information brokers, sharing critical information from their MSCs with other DLA elements and military and federal customers.

“If you want to learn more about DLA, if you want to learn more about yourself, if you want to learn more about the entire process that we use to support our whole of government and the warfighter, then come to the ASOC because you’ll be deeply immersed in it. It’s a very rewarding time and experience to have,” said Scott Forster, a DLA Distribution employee who recently completed an ASOC rotation.

Employees interested in volunteering as MSC ASOC LNOs should contact their supervisor. For questions about the program, email Xavier Villarreal at Xavier.villarreal@dla.mil
