RICHMOND, Va. –
Navy Commander Brandon Palmer became the officer-in-charge of Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Jacksonville, Florida during a change-of-charge held in Hangar 117 on Naval Air Station Jacksonville ceremony June 1.
A Columbus, Ohio native, Palmer previously served as Executive Assistant to the Vice Director of Navy Staff, Washington, District of Columbia.
He takes over as OIC of DLA Aviation at Jacksonville from Navy Commander Curtis Ceaser, who had served in the position since April 2020.
There are no shortages of examples of Ceaser’s outstanding accomplishments over the past two years including increasing the fill rate from 89.8% to 95.8%;increasing material availability from 90.5% to 9 6.1% and reducing unfilled orders by 62%.
In his next assignment, Ceaser will serve as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics at Expeditionary Strike Group Seven in Okinawa, Japan.
