DLA Aviation celebrates opening of newly renovated F/A 18 Material Support Office in Jacksonville

By Joe Phoebus DLA Aviation

A ribbon cutting ceremony held Nov. 2 officially reopened DLA Aviation at Jacksonville’s F/A 18 Material Support Office on the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, Jacksonville, Florida.

DLA Aviation at Jacksonville Industrial Support Activity Site Commander Maurice Meagher, along with Material Management Section Chief Dora Ramon, Material Management Cell Chief Julie Brewer and the DLA Aviation’s F/A 18 Production Team, cut the ceremonial ribbon reopening the new facility in Building 101, Room 98.

It’s taken a lot of planning and effort to accomplish this joint project, working with Ms. Cynthia Hudson, a DLA Aviation contacting officer in Richmond, Virginia; Mr. Jimmy Parrish, Mr. Angel Quinones and Mr. Warren Nuckols, from DLA Installation Support at Richmond; Mr. Odonell Raymonvil and his team from DLA Information Operations at Jacksonville; and the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast Network Team in Jacksonville,” said Meagher. “We've turned an old antiquated office into an updated, usable facility providing our skilled workers with a safer, cleaner environment in which to better serve our customers. It’s important that we use funding in the smartest way possible- to turn an outdated office space into a useable production space is well worth the cost. We make great strides in improving our work areas here every day thanks to our dedicated employees.”
