Videos augment support for Army divestiture program

By Ken MacNevin DLA Disposition Services

Do you need to know the things to expect when you turn in a computer, a printer, a tent or a truck to DLA Disposition Services?

The insider info is online, thanks to the work of soldiers from the 1st Cavalry Division and DLA. All can be seen on mobile devices, plus traditional civilian or military computers.

The videos are on the YouTube page for the Division:

If you can’t reach the YouTube site, you can also go to the public website for DLA or its DLA Disposition Services webpage.

The “How to” videos are on one page, at http://www.dla.mil/CustomerSupport/WarfighterSupport/Army/Turnin/

DLA team members are working directly with soldiers during divestiture turn-ins at forts and bases. They point out that each command will have a process that its units must follow before turning in property to DLA. The videos take up the process once someone has been told to turn in specific types of equipment.

DLA offers special thanks to the soldiers of the 1st Cavalry Division Public Affairs Office for their support in preparing the videos.
