Army Reserve Element receives new Commander

By Master Sgt. J. Scott Mathews

During a ceremony Aug. 6 at the McNamara Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, Va., Col. Jeffery G. Greene took command of the Defense Logistics Agency’s Army Reserve Element replacing Col. Ronnie M. Davis.

“I am excited to welcome Colonel Jeffery Greene as the new ARE commander,” said Robert McCullough, deputy director of the DLA JRF. “With over 28 years of service in the Army, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will enhance and improve the ARE.”

His most recent duty assignment was Support Operations Officer with the 377th Theater Support Command, New Orleans, La.

“He has already made a positive impact on the command and I look forward to working with Colonel Greene over the next two years,” added McCullough.

Navy Rear Adm. Ron MacLaren, director DLA Joint Reserve Force presided over the event.

The Army Reserve Element was established in 1999 to provide reserve support to DLA in its mission of combat logistics support to the warfighter. The soldiers of this group are assigned all across the world.
