Since the coronavirus has resulted in state-mandated stay-at-home orders and widespread telework, Defense Logistics Agency employees are connecting with colleagues through a new video series, “COVID-19 Messages of Resilience,” available on DLA’s Facebook page and the DLA resiliency website.

Procurement assistance program helps small businesses navigate pandemic

The Procurement Technical Assistance Program was authorized by Congress in 1985 to help expand the number of businesses participating in government contracts. The Defense Department recently designated the DLA-administered program as critical essential infrastructure.

With an unprecedented number of Defense Logistics Agency employees – as many as 20 to 25 thousand – teleworking in response to the coronavirus, the agency faces increased security risks.
